The Australian Government has announced that key skilled visa salary thresholds – CSIT, TSMIT, and SSIT – will increase from 1 July 2026 following the annual indexation of migration income requirements.
These thresholds set the minimum salaries employers must pay when sponsoring overseas workers.
Key updates:
- Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT): $76,515 → $79,499 per year
- Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT): $76,515 → $79,499 per year
- Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT): $141,210 → $146,717 per year
These changes affect both employers and visa applicants, influencing nomination preparation, salary compliance, and the timing of visa applications.
