Brightstone Legal is proud to announce that our Property Team has been named a finalist for “Property Team of the Year 2026” at the Australian Law Awards 2026.
The Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards recognise the outstanding individuals, teams and firms driving excellence and innovation across Australia’s legal profession. The finalists, announced on 11 June 2026, include more than 330 high-achieving professionals and businesses across 26 categories.
Being named a finalist is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication, expertise and commitment of our Property Team in delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and contributing to the growth of the legal profession.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala at The Star, Sydney on 30 July 2026.
Behind the Recognition: A Year of Dedication, Expertise and Collaboration
This recognition reflects the hard work and collaborative approach of our Property Team, which advises clients across residential and commercial property transactions, developments, leasing matters and complex property-related legal issues.
Some of the team’s highlights over the past year include:
- Advising on landmark development acquisitions with a combined value exceeding $1.2 billion
- Managing hundreds of property matters spanning acquisitions, disposal, development projects and leasing matters.
- Supporting major commercial leasing portfolios involving a variety of tenancy arrangements.
- Providing foreign investment and surcharge duty advice to support the firm’s Migration, Family Law and other practice teams, helping deliver integrated legal solutions for clients.
These matters not only reflect the scale and complexity of the work undertaken but also reflect the team’s ability to move seamlessly between different types of projects while consistently maintaining high professional standards.
Honouring the People Behind the Success
Led by Principal Solicitor Effy Li, the Property Team is known for providing practical, commercially focused advice and building strong, long-term relationships with property owners, developers, investors and businesses.
Commenting on the award, Ms Li said:
” Winning this award would be a meaningful recognition of the hard work, trust and long hours behind the matters I’ve worked on with my clients and team.”
“This achievement reflects the commitment of our entire Property Team and the trust our clients place in us every day. We are grateful for their continued support and proud to deliver practical legal solutions that help our clients achieve their goals.”
Brightstone Legal congratulates every member of the Property Team on this outstanding achievement and thanks our clients, colleagues and business partners for their ongoing support.
We look forward to celebrating alongside our team and other finalists at the Australian Law Awards in July.
