The Department of Home Affairs has announced key updates to the list of approved English Language Tests and score requirements for visa applications.
These updates came into effect from 7 August 2025, and further updates relating to the Skills in Demand (SID) visa (subclass 482) came into effect from 13 September 2025.
The changes may affect both new and pending applications across student, skilled, and migration visa categories. If you are planning to apply for a visa or are already in the process, it’s essential to understand how these changes could impact your eligibility.
